Maesil Shirt is inspired by childhood memories of the folktale "Fairy and the Woodcutter" (선녀와 나무꾼), reimagined as a story of the making of diasporic homes. Printed “cloud ribs” embrace the body as an assertion that, though we may find ourselves in many houses across place and time, never quite complete, home lives between our ribs, always breathing. This garment is digitally printed, made with 95% cotton and 5% spandex stretch rib for a soft, close fit. High neck and slightly cropped cut. Care: To preserve printed detail, handle with gentle care. Wash inside out with like colors. Gentle cycle or hand wash with cold water. No bleach. Hang dry or low temp tumble dry. Iron inside out.
